Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

It contains the total index of the content of the magazine.

Original article

It represents a significant and original contribution in the field of knowledge covered by the journal. Therefore, it must be based on the systematic exposition of the procedures and final or partial results of a personal research, or of collective authorship. Articles are submitted to academic peer review. The length should be between 6000 and 7000 words approximately, in which summary, abstract, captions, tables, figures, and bibliographical references will not be counted. Artículo de Revisión

In this type of study, we analyze an existing or published theory, present a new theory and contrast the limitations or advantages of one theory with respect to another, analyzing them critically. The structure can be flexible according to the author's criteria, it is suggested: introduction (the statement of the problem and relevant aspects pointed out by the author), development of the topic (here are considered the sections that allow a better visualization of the topic), discussion (contrast of the ideas discussed), conclusions, conflict of interests, financing and references. The length should be between 6000 and 7000 words approximately, in which summary, abstract, image captions, tables, figures, and bibliographical references will not be counted. REVIEWS

Describes, analyzes and critically evaluates the content, meaning and contributions of the publication chosen for this purpose in any of the fields covered by the journal. Maximum length of approximately 1000 to 2000 words, the cover of the book to be reviewed must be submitted.

Entrevista

Transcription of an interview to a personality whose merits or particular performance justify it, according to the topics addressed by the journal. The subject matter addressed must be current and/or of interest to the scientific community in the area, discipline or line of research addressed. The articles must be original, not published or proposed for that purpose to any other printed, virtual or other media. With a maximum length of 2500 words, a photo of the person being interviewed should be included with the author's rights indicated.

Congreso o simposio

Discussion papers at congresses or symposia usually present an argument that is not necessarily based on applied research. These types of discussions will be presented based on the experiences of a congress or symposium. They are made at the request of the editor.

Cartas al editor

Letters to the editor are often written in response to a particular article. These letters can be used to highlight specific points, to correct misunderstandings or errors contained in the article, and to reinforce key messages.
