GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS

Puriq does not charge any publication fee to authors. All articles are published free of charge and in a continuous process once approved by the jurors. Papers must be original and not under consideration for publication in another journal. The content of the articles published in the Puriq Journal of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Huanta is the sole responsibility of the authors. The Vice-Presidency of Research of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Huanta is the holder of the rights of publication and distribution of the contents of the Puriq Journal.

Articles should follow the ethical principles of research, as well as the researcher's code of conduct. Contributions should be prepared following the rules of the Publication Style Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA). Regarding the length of the articles, between 5000 and 6000 words are requested, written in Arial font size 11, spaced at one (1) line. The entire application process is through the journal's OJS platform; applications that are not subject to the journal's rules will not be evaluated. For the presentation of the manuscript it is recommended that the references of the: APA Manual.

Type of article topics

Puriq journal welcomes contributions that account for scholarly reflections and/or research findings in: Applied Social/Social Sciences. Review types of publications.

Structure and format

The document should be submitted in Microsoft Word, A4 size sheet, line spacing one (1), Arial font, 11 point size. Articles should have an approximate length of 5000 to 6000 words.

Open Science Adoption (Preprint Policy)

Puriq's policy is to interoperate with preprint servers, facilitating the submission of manuscripts previously deposited in preprint servers. We invite the author(s) to choose the preprint server that suits their research. When the manuscripts submitted for evaluation have preliminary versions (preprint), the type of review will be differentiated. Due to the scope of our journal we recommend:

Preprints should be published in PDF, HTML or XML format. Most servers allow automatic conversion to one of these formats. The correspondence author must indicate within the Open Science Compliance Form (DOWNLOAD) to be submitted as an additional and complementary file to the text manuscript via the online submission system. 

Tables, graphs, and images:

Tables and graphs should be prepared with Office and pasted in the appropriate place in the text, preceded by a numbered title that orders them and reference to the source. In addition to pasting them in Word, images and other graphic materials must be sent separately (always in the original version of the application used: Photoshop, PowerPoint, Acrobat, Excel, etc.). Photos and pictures must be in .jpg or .png files, with a resolution of 300 dpi (must be at least 200 KB). Tables APA Standards.

Standards for citations and bibliographic references:

Bibliographic references, whenever possible, should include relevant electronic addresses or identifiers: DOI (10.37073/puriq.4.1.2022), Handle (https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12672/123), URN, etc.

In-text citations and bibliographic references should follow the APA style (American Psychological Association, 7th ed.). See APA citation guide v.7 See APA citation guide APA v.7 It is suggested to use Mendeley, Zotero or EndNote as a bibliographic reference manager. 

Checklist for shipment preparation:

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check that their submission meets all of the elements shown below. Submissions that do not meet these guidelines will be returned to authors.

  1. The proposed article has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted to another journal.
  2. The submitted file is in Microsoft Word format.
  3. References in printed format and references considering web addresses are included according to the APA editorial format.
  4. The text is spaced one and a half spaces apart; the font size is 11 points; italics are used instead of underlining (except for URL addresses).
  5. Tables and figures should be in a separate file, with the indication of the place where they correspond within the text.
  6. The text complies with the bibliographic and style requirements indicated in the Noemas for authors of the APA editorial format.
