TYPE OF PUBLICATIONS

Puriq magazine publishes the following modalities:

• Editorial: They are usually comments or analysis, requested by the editor, on an article published in the same issue in which the editorial is published. For this type of publication, 800 words and a maximum of 10 references are recommended.
• Original articles or Research: It represents a significant and original contribution in the field of knowledge covered by the journal. Therefore, it must be based on the systematic exposition of the procedures and final or partial results of a personal research, or of collective authorship. Articles are submitted to academic peer review. The length should be between 6000 and 7000 words approximate, including summary, abstract, captions, tables, figures and bibliographical references. • Review article: IIn this type of study, an existing or published theory is analyzed, a new theory is presented and the limitations or advantages of one theory with respect to another are contrasted and critically analyzed. The structure can be flexible according to the author's criterion, it is suggested: introduction (statement of the problem and relevant aspects pointed out by the author), development of the topic (here the sections that allow a better visualization of the topic are considered), discussion (contrast of the ideas discussed), conclusions, conflict of interests, financing and references. The length should be between 6000 and 7000 words approximate, including summary, abstract, captions, tables, figures and bibliographical references. Work with Norms for authors.
• Essay: It is a text in which the author presents a point of view or personal opinion on some topic, and analyzes and defends it through arguments, based on different sources. An introduction, a body and a conclusion are recommended. The length should be between 5000 and 6000 words, including summary, abstract, captions, tables, figures and bibliographical references. In addition, in both cases it is recommended that:

• The abstract should not be less than 150, nor exceed 200 words.
• The title of the article in no more than 15 words must be submitted in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
• Keywords (04 maximum), must be submitted in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Work with the section Norms for authors.

The other formats that do not contemplate an article and are published in Puriq are the following:

• Literature review: Describes, analyzes and critically evaluates the content, meaning and contributions of the publication chosen for this purpose referred to any of the fields covered by the journal. Maximum length of 1000 a 2000 words, the cover of the book to be reviewed must be submitted.
• Interview: Transcription of an interview with a personality whose merits or particular performance justify it, according to the topics covered by the magazine. The subject matter should be current and/or of interest to the scientific community in the area, discipline or line of research addressed. The articles must be original, not published or proposed for that purpose to any other printed, virtual or other media. With a maximum length of 2500 words, a photo of the person being interviewed should be included with the author's rights indicated.
• Congresses or symposium debate: In congress or symposium debate articles, an argument is usually presented that is not necessarily based on applied research. These types of discussions will be presented based on the experiences of a congress or symposium. They are made at the request of the editor.
• Letters to the editor: Letters to the editor are often written in response to a particular article. These letters can be used to highlight specific points, to correct misunderstandings or errors contained in the article, and to reinforce key messages.
